Trump's Memorial Day Weekend Was a Live Broadcast of His Mental Decline
From a frothing Memorial Day rant to a West Point speech about trophy wives, the president spent the holiday weekend confirming what we all already know: he’s not well.

A Bizarre Memorial Day Tantrum
While most Americans spent their Memorial Day morning reflecting on sacrifice and service, Donald Trump logged onto his knockoff Twitter and posted a screed so warped — so violently unhinged — it would’ve gotten the average person booted from a public setting and sent for a psychiatric evaluation if they said it out loud.
Trump’s holiday message read less like the words of a head of state and more like a psychological case study gone off the rails.
Here’s the all-caps rant:
Aside from the opening attack on left-leaning “scum” who don’t support him, the real line that will be etched into history as undeniable proof of both stupidity and insanity is this one:
“THEY ARE POURING INTO OUR COUNTRY, AND MANY ARE FROM PARTS UNKNOWN. 21,000,000 MILLION, AND THAT IS A VERY LOW NUMBER!!!”
If we read it as written — 21 million million — Trump mistakenly claimed that 21 trillion people entered the country illegally, a number so astronomically incorrect it could only come from a buffoon completely unmoored from reality.
Of course, this was only one instance of Trump confirming his insanity this weekend.
Trump’s Rambling Leaves West Point Cadets in Stunned Silence
At West Point’s commencement ceremony just a couple days earlier, Trump stood before the next generation of military leaders and delivered a speech that veered wildly off course.
Somewhere between bragging about rebuilding the military and railing against diversity initiatives, he took a detour into unsolicited marital advice by telling the story of real estate mogul William Levitt — and how, after a divorce, he married a younger woman.
“He ended up getting a divorce, found a new wife. Could you say a trophy wife? I guess we can say a trophy wife,” Trump said to the stunned crowd. “It didn’t work out too well. But that doesn’t work out too well, I must tell you. A lot of trophy wives, it doesn’t work out…”
Cadets stared in silent disbelief as the president of the United States turned their graduation ceremony into a weird TED Talk on failed rich-guy marriages.
Again, this is the sort of bizarre rambling that would prompt the family to take grandpa’s car keys away — but we’re supposed to be cool with the fact that it’s coming out of the president’s mouth?
Trumps Turns Somber Arlington Event Into a Festival of Self Congratulations
If you thought Trump couldn’t squeeze even an ounce more of his signature incoherence into this long holiday weekend, you’d be wrong.
As our friends at PoliticusUSA wrote, “[T]he president managed to top himself and show off his decline at the sacred Arlington cemetery on Memorial Day.”
Trump didn’t speak for long, but when he did it was filled with words he couldn’t quite pronounce and the increasingly common slurring we’ve seen from the 78-year-old president.
At this somber event, Trump boasted about bringing the World Cup and Olympics to the U.S. and rambled about how he’s actually glad he lost in 2020 — otherwise he wouldn’t be able to celebrate America’s 250th birthday next year.
“You know, I got the World Cup and I got the, uh, Olympics. The 250 years was not mine. I'd like to take credit, but I got the Olympics. I got the World Cup when I was president,” Trump rambled. “And I said, boy, it's too bad I won't be president then. And look what happened.”
Look what happened, indeed.
When Will the Media Sound the Alarm?
What we’re seeing from Trump isn’t politics. This is a public unraveling.
The commander-in-chief isn’t just spewing nonsense — he’s broadcasting instability from the most powerful office in the world.
Whether it’s incoherent posts, creepy asides or conspiratorial rants, the picture is painfully clear: the man is not mentally fit to run a snow cone stand, let alone a country.
We’ve crossed the line from “concerning” into “dangerously detached.” And he still has more than three and half years left in the White House.
There’s no punchline here. Just a country being slowly dragged through the psychological collapse of a man who should be nowhere near power — and a system still pretending it’s business as usual.
It’s long past time for the media to take a break from its endless hand-wringing over Joe Biden’s age and start reporting — honestly and urgently — on the clear and present mental free-fall happening right in front of us.
Donald Trump is not just a political threat. He’s a cognitive one.
But the GOP Congress won’t do anything because they ARE him. He allows them to be who they are out in the open. Until we rid ourselves of ALL of them we cannot move past this horrible mess.
Crazy as a Loon right before our very eyes. Now is the Time to remove him and his entire cabinet as well as Elon in the fringes! Carefully and Thoroughly!
